What happens when you raise your energy vibration?

In psychic circles, we talk a lot about vibration and energy levels. You might hear someone say “oh, her energy is so low!” or “the vibe last night was awesome!” But what does this mean?


Every living thing vibrates energetically. The higher (i.e. faster) the vibration, the lighter the energy. So if you vibrate at a low vibration you might feel lethargic or depressed, with a lack of interest in things in the world. On the other hand, if you vibrate at a higher vibration, you might experience enthusiasm, engagement, joy, etc. Both of these have their extremes, too. If our vibration drops too low, our depression may become severe. Or if we vibrate at a rate that is too high we may experience mania.


Your vibration impacts your experience of life. Think about the law of attraction (like attracts like). If you are curious about your own energy level, look around you. What have you attracted to you? Lots of angry people? Frustrating work experiences? Unhappy relationships? If so, there’s a chance your energy is vibrating on the low end. However, if you tend to enjoy your life, have happy friends and relationships, feel satisfied with work, then your vibration is probably a little higher.


People have long used the law of attraction and shifting their energy to a higher vibration to create change in their lives. When you raise your vibration you stop attracting the things that you attracted at your old vibration. And, you create opportunity for new experiences to come into your life!


You can shift your energy through many different healing practices. Try some of these:

  1. Bring plants into your life. Growing things help raise the vibration in our living space. But do take good care of them! A dead plant is not the vibration you want to match!

  2. Turn off the tv, unplug from your online life, and spend an afternoon in a park or on the beach. Breathe in the fresh air and bask I the sunlight. This will both cleanse your energy and raise your vibration.

  3. Take up meditation. Learn to spend time looking inward. Giving your mind a chance to clear and your body a chance to release stress helps you effortlessly move to a higher vibration. (Check my website to learn about my short, easy starter meditation class!)
